Technique
Photos & Video
M.P.S. employs a scientific technique that is used by many other reputable paranormal research groups.
Various types of  equipment is used to help us gather  evidence or disprove the claims of paranormal activity. Listed below are a few of the basic tools we will use in an investigation.
EMF, or electro-magnetic fields are caused by anything that uses electricity. Investigators believe that ghost and spirits are made of electric-magnetic energy and thus emit an EMF field.
This theory has been tested and EMF meters are used by practically all investigation groups.
Some EMF meter's  have lights that indicate the presents of EMF energy. While other will have a digital readout that gives a more accurate reading.

During our investigation, we will take LOTS of pictures and video. As cameras can pick up forms of light that our eyes do not. Thus, cameras can pick up shadows, apparitions and orbs. NOTE: Orbs are not credible evidence of a haunting. However, they can help to indicate the presence of paranormal activity.

We will record the audio of every second of our investigation. When we listen to our recording, we will sometimes hear what is known as an EVP. EVP stands for Electronic Voice Phenomena. EVP is a sound or voice that we did not hear at the time of the investigation and is a form of paranormal activity.

Infrared & Ambient Air Thermometers
It has become common knowledge that when a ghost or spirit is present, there is a significant drop in temperature. Thus, ghost hunters use infrared and ambient air thermometers throught an investigation.

Infrared thermometers are typically used to establish an overall tepmerature in a location. While ambient air thermometers are used for detecting the cold spots that are reported during paranormal activity.
